FoodProt

FoodProt is a curated collection of protein sequence databases tailored specifically for food metaproteomics. FoodProt spans 14 distinct food categories and contains 17,070,801 non-redundant protein sequences predicted from 13,919 metagenome-assembled genomes, 221 reference genomes, and 4,787,126 metagenomic contigs with 62,213 UniProt reference proteins. By offering ready-to-use, category-specific databases, FoodProt provides a valuable resource to accurate protein identification and functional characterization in food microbiome studies.
